CAREGIVERS
There are approximately 40 million family caregivers in the United States today.
Family caregivers, as a whole, are as diverse as the American population. Many men, women, and youth (an often overlooked group of caregivers) are providing care to a loved one with specialized needs. The 2015 Caregiver Survey conducted by The National Alliance for Caregiving and AARP revealed that 85% of family caregivers are not receiving respite.
Caregivers
PEW Research Center says that 4 in 10 adults in the U.S. are caring for a child or adult with significant health issues.
